More family.....

Remember my Uncle Nathan? He was in Virginia for work and we met him for dinner. It was so great to see him again. I was a little guy when he saw me last. =) Thanks for visisting Uncle Nathan!! Next time, please bring Lea with you. I love you!

Family visit....

It was very exciting to meet my Auntie Dori and Auntie Joyce. They were so much fun and I loved all the attention I got for those few days. Here I am with Auntie Dori. She has some really yummy feet that are perfect to chew on!

Here I am with Auntie Joyce. She was perfect to take a nap on! Ok, now I am sounding like my Dr. Seuss books....

Thank you for spending time with me, a guy could really get used to having all that attention all of the time! I love you!

Be all you can be??? Nope.....

Mom found this bib and couldn't resist. I am not sure I get what is so funny when people see it and just laugh out loud??

The "big kid" with lots of little kids

Here is a my daddy with a bunch of Iraqi kids. He loves to get all the candy from our family and friends and gives it out to them. As you can see, they are more than happy to be in the pictures.

What am I?????

That's right, I am a ladies man!! Mommy thought this was too cute to pass up. Why do I feel like the doll she never had when she was little?? She gets so excited every day just getting me dressed in the morning. How old do I have to be before I pick out my own clothes? Mommy told Uncle RJ that it looked like something I picked out of his closet! He could only dream of being the ladies man I am!

My new bathtub

Here I am on a trial run. Seems very relaxing. Thank you Morgan for sharing this wonderful idea. I can't wait to try it. Mom almost passed out a few times from trying to blow it up. I heard her say many times how much she wished daddy was here and it wasn't because she missed his company! =)

Now this is what I am talking about.....

I will take this kind of bottle anytime!! Champagne, yum! My mommy, Oma, Opa and Uncle RJ drank this with Thanksgiving dinner. This was the first of 4 bottles! They fed me a tiny bit of mashed potatoes and a tiny bit of stuffing. Still not sure about that either.

Yuck!!!!

Well, it isn't that bad. What is wrong with having a bottle for the rest of my life? Here I am with my first real food. This was sweet potatoes. It got better as we went along.

Our Unit had a Fall Festival

Here is mommy and me at the Fall Festival. We had such fun with all the families. Who knew there were so many kids! The most popular event was the Hummv Trick or Treating and the most popular activity was the huge blow up slide (I can't wait to be big enough for that!!).

Here I am with Patricia. She isn't much of a kid person but she LOVES me. I think the bib works for her!! =)

My daddy in a tight squeeze. With all that protective stuff on, he has a much smaller place to sit!

My daddy....

Here is a picture of my daddy with a Battery Commander (CPT Brian Westerfield). This is one of the few times he gets out of his office. He says he only gets out about once a week which is one too many times for mommy and me! Daddy, please stay behind your desk! We love you!!!

Mommy and me

Here we are, 2 peas in a pod. Daddy wanted some pictures of mommy and me so we sat down and took a few. Daddy has been printing the pictures out and putting them on his wall at work and in his hooch and covering his walls like wallpaper. How silly is that? =)

How cute am I??!!!!

It was a little chilly out so mommy put my hood on. Thank God I didn't see anyone I knew!

My daddy....

Here is a picture of my daddy outside of his CHU (contained housing unit) also known as his hooch. He is very fortunate to have it all to himself. This time he even gets a bathroom and shares it with another Major.

Here he is on a road in Baghdad where Saddam used to march his Army. Note the cross swords in the background.

And finally here he is in front of his Humvee at one of the check points. Average temperature during September is about 112 degrees. Imagine that plus all the heavy protective gear!

And in this corner......

weighing in at 20 pounds and 27 inches in length, JOOOOOEEEEYYYY G.!!!

His doctor appointment was perfect, that is, until the nurse went to measure his head and scared him! He yelled and yelled at her. She apologized and after a few minutes, he was back to smiling at everyone around him again.

All smiles....

Here I am in my Jumperoo. It's so fun to jump and jump. Grandma Hunt tells me that my daddy was the jumperoo king. Guess I am taking after him already.

OUR HERO

This was the morning my daddy left. He told me that he has to go to Iraq so that when I get older, I won't have to. He is my hero and I miss him every day!! Come home soon daddy!

Fingers......yum!

I love to chew on anything so if daddy has his fingers close to my mouth, yup, they are going right in. Mommy always makes sure daddy's fingers are clean and they don't have any cooking spices on them. Most of the time they are clean.

Cooking with my daddy

It's never to early to learn how to cook!! Hopefully I can be a great cook like daddy is when I get a little bit bigger. He loves to carry me around the kitchen and show me exactly what he is doing. Sometimes I sit in my Bumbo seat on the counter and just watch him. He is so fun to watch.

Whew.....who knew cooking could take so much out of you!!! Now I see why mommy doesn't do it.

Mommy's doctor

Here I am with my mommy's doctor, Dr. Krieg. She says that she and my daddy wanted me so badly and Dr. Krieg is the one who helped them. He is such a nice man, though he talks a little funny!

Is that a butterfly on my face??

Here I am in my carseat. And this is Bimbo the butterfly (daddy named him for me). He has a very funny voice to go along with that funny name! Normally I spend time with Bimbo only when I get a little cranky. He is a very funny friend.

Drive home from St Moritz

These are the mountains we drove through. They were so beautiful.

Then we went through Munich around dinner time and decided to stop. Any guesses where??

Daddy didn't want to leave for Iraq without taking me to the Hofbrauhaus. Who knew they made beers as big as me?! Yum!

St. Moritz

We decided to leave Lake Como a little early since we were melting! By the way, you must eat Limon Gelatto very fast so it doesn't make Gelatto souppe (private joke). Anyway, we passed the sign to St. Moritz and decided to check it out. We stayed a night (we splurged and couldn't afford to stay for another night!). It was so breath takingly beautiful and about 30 degrees colder during the day! Lake Como during the day was about 95 degrees, St Moritz was 65 degrees.
Pics of our drive there...

Daddy on our balcony.....

The senior Concierge gave me this "ruck sack" and a t-shirt just for being so damn cute. Ok, it may have had something to do with the room we were in....

Our view from our suite.....

Bath time with Daddy. It was so much fun to swim around. Normally I have a tiny bathtub to splash in but this was really great. Those big fluffy towels and bathrobes really came in handy...

Lake view of St Moritz. Our hotel was just to the left on the side of the mountain.

Lake Como

We had such a wonderful time in Lake Como Italy. Here are some pics.

The pic of mom was taken right outside our hotel. George Clooney's villas were so close we could have thrown a rock at it! We looked for him but he was there 2 weeks earlier.

Lake Como is so BIG. We covered all of it though, mostly by boat. Here I am at lunch, what a beautiful view!

Special time with my daddy.

It was soooo HOT while we were there. Here is a pic of me with a diaper (mommy and daddy use them as my drool rags) on my head. Daddy had poured water on it to keep me cool. Looks like an Afgan turban!? Mommy and Daddy had lots of Italians telling them how good looking I was. =) ......like there was ever any doubt?!
